Enercon and Enerjisa Üretim deals for the second phase of the YEKA 2 wind power facility
Turkiye's Wind Power Boom to Enter a New Phase with the Collaboration of Enercon and Enerjisa Üretim

A major development in Turkiye's renewable energy landscape! By moving on with the second phase of the YEKA 2 wind project, Enercon and Enerjisa Üretim are strengthening their commitment to cleaner energy. Following a strong start, having secured 750 MW, they are now aiming for the entire 1,000 MW capacity.
On March 20, 2024, the signing ceremony at the Wind Europe fair in Bilbao was the event to be at. With Turkish Deputy Minister Çetin Ali Dönmez there, the main focus was on finalizing the agreement and advancing Turkey's objectives concerning wind energy.
Uli Schulze Südhoff, ENERCON's Chief Commercial Officer, is optimistic about Turkiye's renewable energy future. "Turkiye's a hotspot for us at ENERCON," he told reporters. "We're thrilled to be teaming up with Enerjisa Üretim to bring top-notch wind tech to the table."
And Arif Günyar, ENERCON's Regional Head for Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, could not agree more. "Projects like YEKA 2, especially with local parts in the mix, are key for Turkiye's homegrown energy scene," Günyar said in a statement.
Not only that, but ENERCON also commemorated the Akköy Wind Farm reaching a significant milestone. Situated in the Didim neighborhood of Aydın, it boasts six turbines that generate 25.2 MW of power, providing a powerful start to the project.
