Comprehensive FAQ Page

What is a solar photovoltaic (PV) system?

A solar PV system converts sunlight into electricity using solar panels composed of many solar cells. This electricity can be used to power your home or be fed back into the grid.

Solar panels capture sunlight and convert it into direct current (DC) electricity. An inverter then converts this DC electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity, which can be used in your home.

How does a solar PV system work?

What are the benefits of installing a solar PV system?

  • Reduces electricity bills

  • Decreases carbon footprint

  • Increases energy independence

  • Potentially increases property value

The cost can vary widely based on system size, location, and installer. Generally, prices range from RM16,000 to RM40,000 before incentives.

Yes, there is Solaris rebate of RM4,000 incentive by the government for homeowner who apply on 1st April,2024 until 31st December, 2024.

How much does a solar PV system cost?

Are there any financial incentives available?

How much will I save on my electricity bills?

Savings depend on your electricity usage, the size of the system, and local electricity rates. On average, homeowners can save 50- 90% on their electricity bills.

A professional installer can assess your energy needs and roof space to recommend an appropriately sized system. Typically, a 5- 6 kW system is suitable for an average home depending on the saving preferred.

How do I determine the right system size for my home?

What Does the PV Insurance Cover

The solar PV all risk insurance (MSIG as the insurer), It protects your solar PV system against loss or damage due to fire, theft and accidental damage. It also provides compensation for income or savings affected by downtime caused by such loss or damage.

It covers our workmanship: (cable installation, inverter, solar panels on roof etc).

The solar panel (Jinko) provides 30 years linear output guaranteed performance with only 0.4% degradation per year (Refer solar panel datasheet given).

What Does Service Warranty Cover

What is the guaranteed performance

If I shift house, who pays for transferring the solar panel to new address?

I would always recommend hire the service provider you choose with a fee depending on the new location.

With the 10.44kWp system, the low end out will be 1000kWh (Offset 85% of your bill) and high end output will be 1190 kWh(offsets 100% of your bill), these are conservatives value.

How will the billing be if there is lower power output during rainy weather and high output during sunny weather?

On your website, I saw deionized water advertisement. Do I need to buy this? When is this needed?

No, these are made for commercial solar PV system for maintenance purpose only. The deionised water will also be used during our free maintenance service which is included.
